Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
I saw them perform on David Letterman and thought. Wow.
This doesn't usually happen.
They exuded a sense of happiness and ease.
They looked so happy to be making music and singing.
There are 10 people in this collective.
They sing together in perfect harmony.
Like a group of hippies they celebrate through music.
And I celebrate with them
If you subscribe to NPR: Live Concerts From All Songs Considered Podcast. They perform 4 songs. They are so happy, its hard not to smile when you watch them sing their heart out.
Alex Ebert leads the musical ensemble. He developed Edward Sharpe: a messianic figure, according to Ebert, Sharpe "was sent down to Earth to kinda heal and save mankind...but he kept getting distracted by girls and falling in love." Keeping with this obviously complex love/moral storyline Alex Ebert along with Jade Castrinos lead the music ensemble vocally with songs about everything to do with saving the world, in love that is.
"Home is wherever there is you"
Watch this:
"You know, I always say, there are only two ways to be completely alone in this world... lost in a crowd... or in total isolation."
